Mother daughter date

When I received the invitation for this event I was super excited. Not only because it allowed fancy hats but also because my daughter was going to serve a fancy meal and teach me about the good table manners she has learned. Jasmine and I had a blast dressing up for the event and the atmosphere there was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our time together.

I love going on field trips with my kids. I am one of the first parents to volunteer for such things even if it involves being on a bus with fourth graders for several hours. It makes my kids so happy that I am there therefore it's all worth it. I will let the picture speak of some of the fun things we have seen and learned on this field trip.

Delicious food

I just wanted to share some of the delicious food that gets made from scratch in our home. We all love fresh bread, bread sticks, pizza and all kinds of yummy sweets. One of my favorite snacks is sliced apples with cinnamon.

Grandparents day

Ever since kindergarten started Jasmine has wished her grandparents could be here so she could have lunch with them on grandparents day and show them her classroom. Of course that has not been possible because both of our families live far away from where we are. So, I have been the one always going to school for grandparents day. But this year was different! Jasmine was super thrilled to have her grandparents from Spain here at the school for the special celebration. She made sure that they got to know the entire school and meet all her classmates and the teacher. Jasmine's grandparents were the youngest of all the grandparents in the class. I can't wait for my turn to be a grandma but until then I am enjoying every moment as a mom raising my sweet children.

Developing talents

I have always known that we are each blessed with talents and abilities.
President Spencer W. Kimball said: “God has endowed us with talents and time, with latent abilities and with opportunities to use and develop them in his service. He therefore expects much of us, his privileged children”
As a mother of three beautiful children I often think of ways to help my little ones find what those talents are and improve them. I know that it is essential that I give them
opportunities to discover and develop their talents. I also like this scripture: The Apostle Paul said, “Neglect not the gift that is in thee” (1Timothy 4:14).
It may not sound like a lot to some of you but helping my children learn how to sew, cook, paint, clean and keep an orderly home brings joy to our family and I know that my children feel a great
accomplishment also with every new task they learn and complete.
