Zoo

This summer we also got to enjoy the zoo in Kansas City. It was very hot outside that day but we made it through with the help of the cooling fans with water mist. The children loved it and this was Michael's first time at the zoo.

Almost 30 years old

I had this photo shoot done by my friend Tashua at the end of summer. I thought it would be nice to celebrate being almost 30 years old with some fun pictures. I love how they all turned out.

4th of July

I love it all! The freedom we celebrate, the American flags waving everywhere, the patriotic clothes,the yummy barbeque, the frozen deserts and of course the fireworks! I am so grateful that we can live in such a beautiful country.

We had so much fun with grandma and grandpa visiting museums, playing outside, swimming, shopping, playing pretend, dressing up and much more but in mid June we had to say goodbye to them as they returned back to their home in Spain. It was hard to let them go and we all cried even though we knew they will return soon. Good byes are the worst for me when it comes to my family. We are grateful to Skype that has allowed us to see each other everyday making our lives a little sweeter.

My princess is 10!!!

At the beginning of June my little princess turned 10 years old. Yes, I said she has entered into double digits. Can you believe it! It took me a while.

I love my bright sunshine more than I can describe, so when she requested a music themed birthday party I said of course and decided to make it as special as possible because she deserves it. I baked her a 3 tier cake which I decorated with grandmas help in white, black and yellow fondant. I also created a little spotlight in the living room where she and her guests could dance and sing. We really tried to spoil her a little more than normal on her birthday. We are so grateful that Heavenly Father gave us the privilege to be her parents and intrusted us with such a beautiful and kind daughter. We love you Jasmine with all our heart!

Memorial Day

Some of our good friends joined us and celebrated memorial day by going bowling in the morning then walking and shopping a little at the plaza followed by going out to dinner with everyone. We all had a great time together. My mom and dad loved the atmosphere at the plaza because it reminded them a lot of Europe where you walk to the boutiques and eat at restaurants on the patio.
